- IO Magic Units Have a Major Flaw
As reported on numerous websites, the IO Magic external hard drives (I have a 250g) have a major problem, that is, without warning, they no longer recognize your system and thus you can't get your data. This has happened to me as well...

We originally bought a new hard drive made by this OEM in 2007. However, the unit failed well within the warranty period, and was sent back via an RMA (#48653). Unfortunately, in its place, we received a used (and presumably reworked)...
