"WASTE OF MONEY- USE A MAP"
Mag support is terrible. Map update doesn't work. Support is India and they promise and don't deliver. Don't waste your money and buy something with online continuous map updates.
PROS: Portable unit
CONS: maps out of date/poor support/poor signal acquisition

"The maps are better than my Roadmate 700"
Magellan has a good concept, they just forgot to finish it. Consider: 1-Very accurate GPS mapping system 2-User friendly 3-Plays music 4-Shows pictures 5-Built in battery. What they forgot: 1-FM modulator so the music could come through the car stere

"As good as the maps it uses."
I do travel all over the USA for business and found that the maps are very outdated. Most metro areas that had road construction completed many years ago does not revlect these in the RM800 making it's navigation useless.
PROS: Easy to operate
CONS: Maps are about 10 years old

I use it to travel all over the US and regularly do over 100 stops a day and have to enter the data in segments of 20 per route. It's only downfall is that I cannot upload an excel spreadsheet to be able to not have to enter each and every address fo

"It's a cool thing to have, show off to your friends"
You don't have to pay for any service, which is huge. But creating Points-of-Interest is difficult, Transfering music and pictures is confusing,
