After owning two hand held Garmin GPS units that I was very happy with, I decided to buy a GPS unit for my car. And, like an idiot, I bought the Magellan Road Mate 2000 because it was on sale. Big mistake. This piece of trash has been nothing but

The tech support is terrible. Long waits (up to two hours) and then you cannot understand the technician. All you get is call back in one week for status. My unit was sent in for repair Oct 23rd and it is now Dec 10 and I am still getting "call back
