I should have saved my money

explorist 500 good value
Good unit for kayaking & biking. Used for over 1 year with no problems . Added a SD card & Loaded local maps from Mapsend Topo 3D. Also the battery Magellan sells for the unit works better than the 3 AAA battery holder. Best to print out owners manu

Magellean 500LE
I did buy on sale at local Big 5. Unit is rugged with easy to use buttons and has an excellent color screen. Tracked very well even after going from vehicle to foot. I am still in the process of evaluating however unit is good for the price. My only
PROS: Easy to use with simple instructions.
CONS: Doesn't come witj rechargeable batteries or charger.
