It Works!
I have had a lot of graters over the years, some eat up your knuckles and some wore out our arm. This grater is like their old one but it's 1999% better. It's not falling apart when you put the peddleto the metal and stands up to the softest or hardes of cheeses. Try it you'll love it. I'm buying...

cheese grater
I love it. I bought it for my husband and he thinks that it is the "best thing since sliced bread". He loves it. It grates fine and thick cheese. It is great.

Great for shredding hard cheese
I bought this to shred Grana Padano (after Costco stopped carrying the pre-shredded Grana). Works like a charm. No more risk to your fingers, no more problems with crumbling cheese that becomes too small to shred. Really fast (2 to 3 times as fast as a regular manual shredder) and effortless.

Zyliss doesn't deliver the zing hoped for
I've gone through 2 Pampered Chef cheese graters so I thought I'd like to try something new. I ask every Italian waiter I see what brand they use and why they like it. Zyliss was highly recommended. I have to say, I am a little disappointed. It is not as easy to use as the Pampered Chef,...

Eh.
This was my third rotary grater. The plastic ones seem to break, and I lost my metal one in a move. This particular Zyliss one was by far the least comfortable to use, although it did grate things well and left the smallest "cheese remainder" of the three. The handle snapped off after about 6...

Cheese grater review
Although it was exactly what I ordered, I had to give it awayI have arthritis in my hands and thought it was more like an electric one where you just put the cheese in and it goes. I would never have been able to turn the handle to get the cheese goingI sent it to my grandaughter and she loves it...

Much greater grater
Nothing makes a guy think "there must be a better way !" faster than one of those traditional flat graters your mom may have used. When I decided that the carrots mandated to my diet where just plain better grated, my favorite current wife said "You do it buddy !" Well cleaning up after enduring...

Liked it while it worked
Mine lasted about a year and was fairly heavily used, but as with previous reviewers, it snapped at the handle. I'm going to try the other Zyliss Amazon currently has for sale: Zyliss Classic Cheese Grater

Bad design
I read some of the other reviews cautioning buyers about the handle--how I wish I had taken them to heart. The handle is just plain mean! The problem is you have to hold this thing in one hand while pressing the cover over the cheese. With the other hand you rotate the little short handle that...
