Hard to clean

I got this for the multi-purpose aspect: 3 different sizes for grating not just nutmeg but cheese, chocolate, etc. Plus storage for nutmeg in the covered top section. The problem is that if I want to put it in the dishwasher I have to first remove all the nutmeg from the top section. I could...
