Unit is ok, but it has unexpected flaws

I am enjoying this unit, however I did learn of some flaws after acquiring it.I do like the GPS functionality (this is the first GPS unit I have had however, so the wow factor is big with me). I like how it quietly recalculates routes and I like how the unit does not bark at me when I miss a...

Love it, all that I need and more.

I love my Kenwood stereo. The screen is nice and bright and the touch is very responsive. So far the navigation system has not failed me and I love that I don't have to take it in and out of my car like portable navigation units - for fear of being stolen. I only wish it had more output options....

My Son's Leap Frog Works Better

The interface is clunky, reminds me of a DOS operating system. For the price (you could buy a full computer, granted a low-end model, but it would work better) the software has major glitches and works sporadically. The iPod interface crashes and reboots; names and titles of the artists and songs...

Best bang for the buck or maybe at any price

The DNX5120 is great. It sounds great, the video is great, and the navigation is typical Garmin. The install took about 20 minutes of actual labor plus about 40 minutes for the (three) wiring harnesses. Out of the hour total, 40 minutes of the labor and wiring was done in the living room....

Awesome

I have this system in my car, and it's only been a day and I love the thing. It has nearly everthing I was looking for in a stereo. From the seperate settings for each speaker, to the unmentioned subwoofer control ability. I haven't even touched the navigation part of it yet.It sounds great as...

The best unit out there

The best way to know you're getting the best system available is to read the customer reviews on as many sites as you can find such as Amazon, Crutchfield, PCWorld, etc. I read as many reviews as I could about all the leading brands of GPS Navigation devices. After many hours of reading I...

KENWOOD DNX5120 Toyota 4Runner Fit

If you want to install this in a Toyota 4Runner there is a problem because its a double DIN and when you remove the stock radio there isn't enough room. The stock radio and the compartment below it have to go but it's still too narrow so it has to be modified. It also sticks out about 3/4" because...

Great head unit at a great price!

At first I was skeptical with the install, as I've only installed single-DIN units before, but it was very simple and straight forward. Unlike many other models out there, this unit was self-contained and didn't have any separate boxes to hook up or anything. I just spliced the Metra wiring...
