i like the stripped down RCA "The Best Of Sam Cooke" cd better but there's no problem with the quality of this cd. This cd is more for the bigger sam cooke fan then i am.

Best single disc representation of one of, if not THE, greatest male soul vocalists ever

This music was before my time, so I didn't realize he did all these songs I've heard over the years. All of them are really good and my least favorite grow on you the more you listen. Amazing talent. So glad I bought it!

Sam Cooke was a very gifted singer; he could sing any kind of song and lyrics. Just hear him sing, "You Send Me", and then "A Change Is Gonna Come", to know what I mean.
