Not quite as polished as Pillars of the Earth
I was a bit disappointed with this book. I loved reading Pillars of the Earth, probably read it 3 times now. But World Without End seemed like it was rushed. The theme of the story was good and there was the typical Ken Follett twists, turns, drama, sex, action, and suspense. And of course,...

Book is wonderful as was the Pillars of the Earth
I never would have imagined reading and loving a book like this and the first book, Pillars of the Eatth. Once I started it, I was engrossed...and finished it in a week. That's a mighty big feat since I have two toddlers.

Human approach to the middle ages
This book takes place in the 1300's. Usually, books about that period can be boring. This one is not. It is fascinating and depicts the knights, earls, etc. as real people with ideas, schemes, desires, etc. Great, long book!!!!

Fantastic
I didn't want to put this book down. In fact, I wanted to live in it. I really liked the female doctor character, Caris. (She wasn't technically a doctor because such opportunities weren't available to women at the time, but she was essentially a doctor despite technically being a nun). The...

A Rollercoaster Ride
"Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian." ~Dennis Wholey This book takes place in the 14th century, 200 years after The Pillars of Earth. I really enjoyed both books. This book felt...

A huge waste of time
Since I wasted enough time reading the book, I am not going to waste too much time on a review. I only have this to say: I loved "The Pillars of the Earth" I HATED "World Without End"It is just simply a bad book.
