Coco
Singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat is one of the most celebrated artists to emerge from the growing talent pool of digitally-savvy self-launched artists, whose rise to prominence as the #1 unsigned artist on the popular myspace site has been largely due to her refreshing sense of understatement. With no marketing push and only the power of the music behind her, Caillat became a sensation on the social networking site. Rolling Stone highlighted her as one of the top female artists on myspace. Ultimately, her number of friends swelled to more than 100,000. Her profile has been visited over 3 million times, and she has more than l0 million plays. She's currently averaging 50,000 + a day. The songs on Caillat's debut album COCO mirror the Malibu-born Caillat's low-key, refreshing style. Armed with her acoustic guitar and her dusky vocals, she evokes the same gentle, yet spirited style of her musical influences John Mayer, Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill and The Weepies. The laid-back tempo of Hawaii, where she spent twice annual family vacations, is echoed in the music. "She's the real thing," stated Monte Lipman, President of Universal Republic Records. "From her unique songwriting skills to her powerful but understated presence, Colbie has connected to millions of music lovers simply through the power of her music.

Hot Coco
Colbie Caillat is not your average valley girl. OK, she did work as a receptionist in a tanning salon and she was no stranger to Malibu surf, but Colbie was not going to limit herself to the boundaries of Thousand Oaks, California. She knew the world had more to offer and she wanted to explore...

Colbie Caillat
The debut album by Colbie Caillat, Coco, is one of the best written I have heard in quite awhile. Hopefully it is as successful as REO Speedwagon's Hi Infidelity, which it compares to in many ways.

Pleasant, Warm Debut From Caillat
Coco from Malibu, California-born Colbie Caillat is a sweet, sugary diversion that is enjoyable because it accomplishes a lot without trying too much or seeming to work too hard. That's not a knock on the production. Everything is solid here, and while no new ground is broken, it does what it...

One of those CDs you glad you bought because you love every song!
This girl is awesome! Love every song on her album and I rarely say that. And I rarely purchase whole albums (cds) anymore, but this one is long time keeper.

Hot coco
Colbie Caillat is another example of where I say this: when you have a name like that, you just HAVE to get into show business. Anyway, instead of reaping the success of her father Ken, Colbie started her career on her own and thus became another internet phenomenon. But unlike other no-talents...

A nice cd-
This is a nice cd. The majority of the songs are breezy and fun, perfect for a summer listen. I usually prefer edgier music, but this is an excellent debut cd, hopefully we will hear more from her.

sweetest flowing songs
This is a true breath of fresh air. The music industry seems to like junk nowadays. In a music era where Cheap-looking sex-sells singers think they can sing but are all really trash....Colbie Caillat turns it all around and sings from the heart. I can't wait for more from her. Each and every song...

New favorite album
With MP3 players, it is very rare these days for me to listen to an entire album start to finish (I usually jump around so much). Colbie Caillat's new album, Coco, however has been in my car's CD player non-stop since I got it a few weeks back. My favorite track is "Magic" and I listen to it by...

Boring singer/songwriter.
Coco by Colbie Caillat is a bland and uninspired disc. Colbie has a decent voice but there is no power in it, I was expecting so much more from this young artist but this album is not a standout. All the songs sound the same, boring vocals and clumsy guitar playing. Bubbly and Realize make me...

nice but overrated
I'm a long-time Fleetwood Mac fan. I was curious what Ken Caillat's daughter was up to.There are some pretty songs on this album, but the word cliche (i.e. heard that before) crosses my mind often.I particularly like "Battle". That one is really good. The other songs range from nice to...
