Speaking Real Words

When 7L & ESOTERIC's groundbreaking EP Speaking Real Words originally dropped in `99, it helped mold and define the East Coast indie/underground movement. Known to go for upwards of $200 on EBAY, the label decided to reissue this long out-of-print classic CD, only this time include a couple banging bonus cuts from the precious era in which it was created. After EMINEM and JAY-Z rhymed over the SPEAKING REAL WORDS beat on SWAY & TECH's World Famous Wake Up Show, the interest factor had risen astronomically. Featuring the blazing title track with WU-TANG hero INSPECTAH DECK, and the infamous Transformers themed Be Alert, the original CD has been sought after for ages. Get yours now, complete with the never before heard bonus track 'Observe the Sound' featuring APATHY, J-LIVE, and L the HEADTOUCHA and the first version of 'Def Rhymes', available on CD for the first time.  more

Pretty ill for a first dealt EP

Probably more like a 3.5, but Inspectah Deck, Apathy, and Virtuoso pick up the game on this C.d. a little bit. If you like 7LES how they USED to be, cop this and Soul Purpose, but i'm sure ppl who liked how they used to be already knew that. Peace.
