White Bikini Panties
At twenty-eight, Trina Elder's living a careful life, waiting for whatever's supposed to happen to happen. Only it's not. She's got a decent job writing copy for cooking products. Okay, so it's not the great American novel, but making turkey basters sound fascinating does pay the rent. So what that her older sister - the "smart, successful one" is happily married, and her younger sister - the "really pretty one" - taking on the world. At least Trina, the "forgotten, Jan Brady one" has her sensible Chicago apartment, her grown-up Garanimals wardrobe, and her cute boyfriend, Rick. Rick, who shares her addiction to El True Hollywood Story, Rick, who's hot without being weird. Rick, who doesn't complicate things with marriage proposals. Cheating, lying Rick, who just got caught making out on his couch with a bimbo from DeVry Technical School. And just like that, Trina's go along - get along world is gone. Now, the girl who has always followed the rules - work hard, get good grades, get a good job, and you'll be set-is throwing it all away and reshaping her life, starting with her underwear drawer. Goodbye sensible white bikini panties; hello thongs and sexy push-up bras. Healing her broken heart means it's time for the new Trina - the wild, adventurous Trina; the "oh my god, what was I thinking?" Trina; the standing-up-for-herself Trina. The Trina Nobody Expects has arrived, and she just may be the thing the real Trina's been waiting for...DID YOU GET THE VIBE? more

One of my favortite's
I just loved this book as did all of my friends in my book club. I haven't read a book by Kelly James Enger that I haven't liked. I wish there were more. If you read this one you have to read, "Did You Get The Vibe."

So does sexy underwear really make the woman?
Katrina `Trina' Elder is a very low maintenance type of person who has a "ok" job at the Coddled Cook (sounds a lot like the Pampered Chef), wears no nonsense white panties and has a sexy nerd of a boyfriend that she seems to be in a comfortable relationship with. That is until she finds said...

If only your heart had an on/off switch?!?
White Bikini Panties (WBP) is about meeting he right guy, going on first dates, finding out how much baggage he has and deciding if you want to deal with it. Trina is a senior writer at The Coddled Cook (think QVC meets Pampered Chef) that sells kitchen products. Trina's job is to inform...

White Bikini Panties
This was a great read. The main character, Trina, was very likable and real. I felt like she was someone I would really get along with and enjoy being friends with during my twenties. Her dating escapades were juicy and entertaining {with a touch of kinkiness}, while her relationships with her...

Kelly James-Enger, Energetic Lady w/ Funny Perspective
This book reminded me of living in Downtown Chicago, after college, mid. 20 and struggling with men, career and family identity. Kelly James-Enger's characters helped me come to a resolution and closer, regarding a longtime friendship that has come to an end.

Who wrote the back cover blurb?
Did that person actually read this book? Green Melusine and I must be kindred spirits - I came here intending to make EXACTLY the same points! First of all, reading the back cover was what made up my mind to buy this book. It sounded like a fun and funny read about a young woman who tries to...

Back cover blurb more fun than the story
I bought this book because the blurb on the back cover appealed to me--young aspiring writer dumps cheating boyfriend and starts living life her way rather than trying to please others. SPOILERS ahead.Instead, I got Trina, a spineless cipher of a character who doesn't have any clear personality...

A very enjoyable read!
The thing I like best about Kelly James-Enger as an author is her absolute candor and lack of pretense. She's unusually honest and real in her writing. The love relationships in this book, as well as the family and friend relationships, are very flawed and complicated, as in real life. Reading...
