Cross Country
When the home of Alex Cross's oldest friend, Ellie Cox, is turned into the worst murder scene Alex has ever seen, the destruction leads him to believe that he's chasing a horrible new breed of killer. As Alex and his girlfriend, Brianna Stone, become entangled in the deadly Nigerian underworld of Washington D.C., what they discover is shocking: a stunningly organized gang of lethal teenagers headed by a powerful, diabolical man--the African warlord known as the Tiger. Just when the detectives think they're closing in on the elusive murderer, the Tiger disappears into thin air. Tracking him to Africa, Alex knows that he must follow. Alone.
From the author Time magazine has called "the man who can't miss," CROSS COUNTRY is the most heart-stopping, speed-charged, electrifying Alex Cross thriller yet. more

Cross Country b y James Patterson
James Patterson did it again. A little far fetched in some places, but quick moving scenes. For those negative comments. it's a book for your reading entertaiment. If it were real Alex would be dead when he got off the plane in Africa. End of story.

Pondering: Why did JP write "Cross Counry"?
As I drove, listening to the unabridged audio of this horror-riddled novel, my revulsion to what I was hearing only grew w/ each CD. James Patterson's novels never disappoint the mystery fan, but this one? This one still kept me riveted, but reluctantly -- it shocked me, & I wanted it to end,...

Dreadful
By far the worst of the Alex Cross series, all of which I've read and liked. One pointless scene of torture after another. Just a horrible book and a terrible disappointment.

Gruesome with a really dumb premise! Spoilers within
I have read almost every Alex Cross novel there is, but I am perplexed about why this novel should even be considered part of the series. The guy who calls himself Alex Cross in this novel is as dumb as a pound of sand. Who in their right mind goes to a foreign country to catch a killer? What...

Cross County with James Patterson
By now between my wife and my self you realize that we do enjoy the readings of James Patterson, at times he will have series which this he included and to get the full attention of them I would advise getting both of these books, he is amazing with his work and without a doubt I do recommend...

Should never have been written
This book made no sense. The only reason it was written was to discuss the state of affairs in Africa. It would be much more effective to write a non-fiction book that was researched.

TOTAL LET-DOWN!!
I am a huge Patterson fan and especially love the Alex Cross series, but this latest book is a disaster. I usually read Patterson's books in hours, but I kept putting this one down and coming back to it when I had nothing else to do. I even put it in the car, thinking I would read it while...

A Different Side of Alex Cross
I am a huge fan of Patterson and enjoy reading his works. This novel reveals a different side of Alex Cross, one where he seeks out his "roots" and the adventures/tragedies that occur along the way. It is a true page-turner, non-stop suspense story line and a learning experience as well. The...

Why such bad reviews??
Although this is far from your 'typical' Alex Cross book (most of the book takes place with Alex in Africa) I still found this book rather entertaining. If you are first time Patterson reader or have not read any books in the Alex Cross series I suggest you start with the first books in the...

Patterson's most riveting Cross novel in years
There is always the possibility --- remote though it may be --- that you haven't read one of James Patterson's Alex Cross thrillers for a while. Maybe you jumped off a few books ago while Patterson was still titling his novels in the series after nursery rhymes (and, considering the events that...
