Ideas for songs can come from anywhere. In this collection of instrumental and vocal compositions, Robert Schoen displays the products of his own ideas and the sights and sounds of the world: watching three blond women enter a Mexican café became Tres Rubias; the seemingly endless rains of El Niño suggested October Rain; the sounds of a cash register led to the tight harmonies of Count Your Change; and the modal piece, Sharon's Awake, is a tribute to his wife.
