E-commerce: Business, Technology, Society
B> E-Commerce: Concepts and Issues provides an overview of the current and next generations of e-commerce. Each of these driving forces is represented in every chapter, and together they provide a coherent conceptual framework for understanding e-commerce. The result is sophisticated conceptual treatment of a very diverse subject that is aimed specifically at readers interested in business concepts, IS/IT developments, and computer science applications. It is written by an author team with extensive teaching, writing, and business experience. This book offers in-depth coverage of concepts in technology, the Internet, economics, marketing, IS/IT, accounting, privacy, intellectual property, equity, and governance. Its unifying conceptual framework built around the themes of business, technology, and society helps readers make sense out of the development of this field. The book presents numerous real-world examples in every chapter. An attractive full-color design is also featured. This book is aimed specifically at readers interested in business concepts, IS/IT developments, and computer science applications of e-commerce. more

Very good text book - too detailed on the "Birth of the Internet"
For the most part this book is a very easy read and is organized very coherently - however, the author seems to digress sometimes by paying too much attention to certain subjects that are important and integral, but could use a 'lite' version. For instance, Chapter 3 is horrendous. Acronym after...

I love it!
I used this book for an E-Commerce course I've taken over the Summer'08 and loved reading every bit of it!Given that there are incredible number of mistakes in the Chapter on Security related issues, but the pros out weigh the cons by a HUGE margin. This book for me was an absolute joy to read,...

Practical, Informative, and Interesting
This is a college level text book that is actually interesting. It is very well written and most importantly, it is NOT boring. It's amazing how easy it is to read such a large book in a short amount of time when the book is well written. You will be able to actually design and learn how to...

From another Professor...
I have used this book in a course I teach in a Web Development Curriculum at a Community College. The material is directly on target with many examples and case studies. Some of the end of chapter projects indicate sites that are no longer operational and the book's web site does not list that in...

1st edition .vs. 2nd edition
This book is all about e-commerce and e-commerce has been changing so much as we speak. It has been changing daily. Therefore, needless to say, information in the First Edition are so out-dated. For example, lots of predictions are not realized; that is past predictions are just different from...
