My son would recommend it to anyone who plays the game. It has all the basic core rules and you need all three books to play the basic game. So this was a bargain.

Don't waste your money
Wizards of the Coast is replacing 3.5 with a whole different system with 4e. That makes this a huge waste of money. Go buy a system that isn't already being replaced.

The CORE rulebook
D&D items are hard to find in Mexico, if you find them you pay three times the regular price, or you can pay for a knockoff cheaply traduced in spanish that is not for hardcore gamers who want to play the real deal, this is an amazing opportunity...

Core books to get your game on
I had bought the D&D basic game set. It was a starter set that was designed to playing your friends or family. We played through the dungeon provided and really enjoyed ourselves. To go any further you needed to buy the core books.
