Free weights offer a special benefit in strength training because they promote quicker strength gains. Free weights also work a larger number of muscles than resistance machines, which tend to focus on isolated muscles. Specially-designed adjustable pads, grips, and bars help limit and guide movements to minimize the possibility of muscle or joint damage. Plus, from a single utility bench, a vast number of exercises can be performed. Whether it is focusing on the abdomen, arms, chest, or any other muscle group, a utility bench can help you maximize your strength training goals while minimizing your risk of personal injury. Solid Bench
Good solid bench. Very sturdy and easy assemble and easy to adjust. The only complaint I have is the seat, it is a little over sized but I got used to it.

Good all purpose bench
Solid construction and all the holes line up when putting it together. Took me about an hour while watching tv to assemble it. This bench has various positions: Incline; flat; 45 degree; and 90 degree angles. Also, it comes with a leg attachment (that's removable) which comes in handy doing...

As advertised...
Nothing real special here. It does exactly as it says it will. It's a fairly tight fit for my legs to get between the pads and the bench, but it's not bad. Sturdy construction, easy to put together; my wife and I got it ready out of the box in about 20-30 minutes at most. Easy to move around.

Great bench, Great Price
This bench is really nice. I am not a hardcore lifter or anything like that, I bought a set of the SelectTech Dumbbells from the Bowflex site to go along with the bench. Although it's brand new to me, it seems solid and should work perfectly for the dumbbell workouts I want to do.It went...

Nice and sturdy for you big guys
My biggest question when buying a bench or any piece of exercise equipment is, "Will it be big enough for me?" At 6-3 255, this can be a problem. Seems exercise companies these days think only small people work out!I bought this along with the 552 dumbbells and stand. I found that this bench,...

Very nice... but not perfect
ASSEMBLY========Assembly time took just over 45 minutes and illustrations were clear. Assembly was easy and straight-forward. Only issue with assembly was that one of the leg cushions were a little too snug and I had to keep on twisting and turning it to get it to slide into the pole, but...

NIce but not great
nice bench, more than adequate for light use, and probably OK for medium use. Not gym quality or suitable for heavy use (multiple users every day). Still, good bang for the buck!

Nice Solid Bench
This is a nice solid adjustable bench. It is put together well and functions good for doing free weight workouts. My only complaint is the little black plastic pieces on the ends of the support beam want to fall off. Other than that this is a great bench.

Perfect For Us!
I just got finished assembling the Bowflex 3.1 Adjustable Bench and came away impressed with both the ease of assembly and great construction. I am a 61-year old lady and I had it together in about 45 minutes with no outside help. Instructions were detailed, holes were all pre-drilled in the...
