Review from a shopper who 'Loved it'
From: Posted: Sep 04, 2007 Type: User Review Just like the title states...

My son got this because he was going to try football this year, well it didn't work out, so I think I'm going to sell the book. It does have a lot of info though. Definitely good book for beginners.

Review from a shopper who 'Hated it'
From: Posted: Jul 10, 2006 Type: User Review Still can't understand football.

I think it was written for people with a basic knowledge of football and not the non-fan. The terms in the glossary didn't make sense to me at all. Decided to forget about finishing the book and just make appetizers instead for the actual fans....

Review from a shopper who was 'On the Fence'
From: Posted: Jun 21, 2006 Type: User Review Hey Buckethead! You may have been a real good DE, but you failed CFL football 101!

The Canadian Pro Football League, which
started 11 years before that other over-
rated Pro outdoor League down south, has
not never will be and isn't a 'feeder' or
'AAA' League for the NFL. The NFL has not-

Review from a shopper who 'Loved it'
From: Posted: May 19, 2008 Type: User Review Comprehensive

I keep this book chair side throughout the college football season and refer to it other times as well. There is great info on each Div 1 team, and it's great to learn how certain names, traditions, etc. were started. A season by season schedule...

Review from a shopper who 'Hated it'
From: Posted: Jun 09, 2008 Type: User Review A Few Detailed Facts Are Wrong!

The book is a good reference but not as accurate as the Internet or Google today. For example, the book has the wrong information on what College actually put numbers on Football Jerseys. According to the History of American Football and Sports...

This is a solid book if you want to know the basic facts about the career of one of football's most brilliant but enigmatic coaches. That said, for the unique access to Belichick that Halberstam got, there's not much here that's particularly...

The book is not at all what I wanted. It is more of a gift book than the actual book. It's a small inept version of the real thing. Verify the correct version before ordering would be my advice.
