S 7000 simple fills the bill!

Pros: Lens range a big plus Cons: Shutter lag on the slow side; battery hog. Over 20,000 photos-mostly landscape and night shots. Been to Pro workshops and they could not believe the quality of the photos. Just carry an extra set of batteries.
