"Web filtering for a small network, its best feature"

After I walked into the living room one morning in the wee hours and found my teen-aged son online, I decided to take a look at the router logs that evening. After checking the logs, and his destinations I found that this was the NOT first time he ha

"Wow, it just works!"

I actually deployed Secure Spot 2.0 to my D-Link dir-655. Was about to fork out 60 bucks for the DSD-150, but luckily read a review from a store site where the reviewer pointed out that D-Link was now offering Secure Spot for the DIR-655, DIR-628, a

(Mostly) Excellent

I purchased thd dsd-150 almost 3 years ago. What attracted me was the chance to dump all my separate Net-nanny and firewall/virus blocking setups and subscriptions for the 6 computers on my home net and have easier (and maybe even cheaper) admin. It worked flawlessly out of the box for 2 years....

Does not work on computer level for Mac

Bought this unit specifically to control access to a Mac computer on the network. For this to work with this unit, requires you to install special client software, which only works on PC. Spoke with D-Link support, they said to try the DIR-625 router instead, so I returned this unit.

The DSD is a great alternative than installing software on every PC in your home. Installation of DSD is relativly easy and configuration screen is easy to navigate. One down side is that every PC needs a client application that is pushed down from the DSD and can accomodate only 4 PC's on your...

Not without faults, it's a viable option to Norton Internet Security

Let me start by saying that I was a former user of Norton Internet Security products since 2000 through 2008. Norton did everything possible to make me increasingly hate their product, so I finally determined to find an alternative. The DSD-150 filtering is a viable alternative. Installing was...

I could never get this device running properly and numerous calls to the help line did not solve the problem. Overall, I would not bother with this product.

Trash. False advertising.

This product does not perform as advertised. In all the manufacturer's advertising, they mention how it doesn't require you to modify all your systems and that you "Simply plug in between your broadband modem and router", but that is a LIE. This product requires that you install their software...

something you should know

I bought this product from the market place via Amazon.com and when I installed it I found out that it was not fully compatible with my mac but the information given is that it can be used with a mac or a pc. It took a very long time to get this problem fixed and the DSD-150 returned. But one...
