PROS: Simple, flexible, and powerful. Chart of Accounts form design and payroll processing improved. Less jargon. Remote filing of timesheets. "Dividing date" lets accountants work on books while users work ahead. Adds effective Google marketing tools.
CONS: Inventory still not as good as Peachtree's.

PROS: I bought brand new Vista computers and QB POS 7.0. It won't run. I've spent hours on the phone with their tech support and they know it's a problem but have no idea how to fix it. They're randomly trying things. STAY AWAY!

PROS: Very fast and self-explanatory. If you have all the W-2's, K-1's, etc. when you start, you can get it done in less than 1 hour.
CONS: If you want your return done electronically, then TurboTax routes it thru Santa Barbara Savings and Trust. Not only do you pay for the Federal cost, another fee for State filing PLUS the fee to do it electronically thru Santa Barbara is EXORBITANT.

We upgraded our version of 2005 QB for contractors for the 2008 QB for Contractors. I know this review was for Premier but it is basically the same as the contractor version. The 2005 was fast it was not a system hog and it seemed to work very well.
