This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

useful and economical
It is exactly what I needed but was unable to order directly from TurboTax because they are incapable of taking orders from outside the US.

Turbo tax review
Good product but I find information entries to form 1099-misc. for oil and gas royalty properties a bit difficult.

Turbo Tax is fine, Amazons Download Software Manager Does not work for All
Unless you have high speed internet and are NOT going through a restricted firewall (Like most work offices have) don't bother to try to down load ANY software using Amazons Download Manager. I have dial up at home and was able to get the down...

"close to useless for reporting stock option transactions"
Reporting gains and losses on stock option puts and calls should not be rocket science! I frankly find it hard to believe how poorly this is done in Turbotax - to the point that makes using this for such reporting unworkable. I'm trying to find some
PROS: maybe ok if you have no stock option transactions
CONS: close to useless for reporting stock option transactions

Not that much harder than doing taxes by hand ...
If your taxes are very simple, this might work. However, if you have anything out of the ordinary, just forget it, Premiere doesn't handle it either. I know where most of these things go but had to figure out how to trick turbotax into putting...

"Fairly smooth up until the time to e-file then downhill"
Turbo Tax Premier worked smoothly for the most part. Dealing with employee stock options is intuitive - unless the transactions are imported from one's broker. In this situation the user must delete the imported transactions then re-create them usi
PROS: Good integration with many different financial institutions
CONS: E-file servers failing on Apr 14 and e-file cost doubles the cost of the product

Time saver
The program uses a very easy to follow question format. I began using TurboTax last year to handle taxes regarding a rental property and self-employment tax matters. This program saves me a lot of time.

Premier not worth extra costs
I bought the TurboTax Premier edition, because I have a lot of stock sales to enter. Premier was suppose to allow me to import my information from my broker to save me the time to input this data. Unfortunately, I was not able to get this feature...

Sent it back!
This product did not work for me; it did not have enough explanation for my purposes. We had bought a house last years as well as kept the old house. There was nothing in Turbo Tax which explained how to handle this situation. If I wanted to get...

Good Overall, With A Few Annoying Issues
I am a long time TurboTax user, and Premier this year shows progress from previous years in most areas. Importing W-2 and some investment data is a breeze, although several mutual fund entries had to be made manually. I found that switching...
