Replacement FAX
Purchase HP1040 FAX/Copier to replace recalled HP1010. Very pleased as the 1040 uses the same cartridge, looks the same, and does the job I need it to do.

Multiple buyer of the HP 1040 fax machine
I work for a company that has 10 retail stores, and all are equipped with fax machines. I'm slowly replacing various brand fax machines with the HP 1040. So far, all of the HP 1040 fax machines are working flawlessly.

Hate it!
Too many features. Jams constantly, pieces fall off. Just wanted a simple fax/copier. Office Depot sold me this. Called back to return it. Rep said I was sold the wrong one for ease of use, but wouldn't take it back. Hate it!

...if you buy this fax machine. Totally stupid design. Won't allow you to have an answering machine anywhere in your home or business unless it's directly connected to the fax machine. The print-out is painfully slow. What a joke....shame on...
