Great Fax for HOME USE!!
I have the old 1270 and have used it from my home office at least 4-5 per week every week since about 1998! It has given me no problems whatsoever! This machine is not meant for office use. Cartridges are a bit $$$, but you can find real deals...

Brother 1270E Fax
I found this very easy to operate. I've had no problems sending or receiving faxes. I don't use the phone on the unit but the TAD works well with my independant phone/answering machine. It's perfect for low volume faxing.
PROS: Easy of use.

Easy to use
This replaces an older Brother sheet roll fax, this is easy to set up right out of the box, you will be sending and receiving faxes in 5 minutes. The cartridgesare easy to replace as well. Brother makes some good products.

Intellifax 1270E
This fax machine is very reliable and performs very well for the price I paid. It exceeded my expectations and after a year of use there has been no problem.

If you are looking for a good, basic fax machine and copier, the BROTHER Intellifax 1270 is a good choice for a reasonably priced fax machine. Keep looking if you want all the bells and whistles of a multi-function high-tech machine.

19 out of 30 - over half!- faxes are not received. Rings but doesn't connect. Phone support claims that this issue is the phone line of the sender and not the fax machine, however, we did not have this issue with our old fax machine. Faxes are...
