Decent Machine - Used in Restaurant...
I have used a 1270e in one of my restaurants for 2 1/2 years now, and it continues to chug through. We do not fax a lot, but we send copies of the menu to folks, and we receive faxed in orders, so they both need to be readable.

Don't waste your money on this machine.
This machine is not worth the money. I owned one for 4 months and every other page jammed. I have owned Brother machines previoulsy and they were well built. The quality of this machine should be an embarassment to brother, it is made of cheap loo

Another fax with sending problems
I have only used this fax for about 2 months and it does a terrible job sending. I don't fax a lot, maybe 2-10 pages per day. It always jams and has trouble feeding my faxes through, irritating!!

What happened with the price?
I saw it on sale for $53.39, next day the price went up. I told my friend about the price, he gave me a check for me to go ahead and buy the item since he does not have a computer. When I came home to purchase it, the price was WAY UP to $89 ???...

ruin the reputation of "made in japan" label
Mine was working fine until I had to replace the carbon film the first time. Then the 1-year old unit simply quitted working. Normally I am quite good at figuring out mechanical problems by myself. Not this one.
