The second book in the series and by far better than the first
Lara Adrian is a new author to me. Being a Feehan, Ward, Leigh and Showalter fan it is truly hard to find authors that can write good paranormal/alpha male eroctic romance. I am not too impressed with Ms. Adrian but I can see that she has the talent to become bigger and better and I hope she...

Book was just ok
Ok well I decided to go ahead and read the next in the Midnight Breed Series. This is book 2 by Lara Adrian. I found the book to be ok. Guess this type of vampire is not my style. The plot was ok, the characters typical the ending fair. I already have the next in the series so I will go ahead and...

Not as good as the first, but still ok
I enjoy this author. Her pacing is good. She tells a good story. I just didn't feel as connected to the characters in this book as I did the characters in the first book in this series. While I enjoyed the twist at the end, the book was a little flat in the romance department.

It goes something like this.....He comes to her more dead than alive, a towering black-clad stranger riddled with bullets and rapidly losing blood. As she struggles to save him, veterinarian Tess Culver is unaware that the man calling himself Dante is no man at all, but one of the Breed, vampire...

Loved it
I love the refreshing story of Dante. It starts off just as exciting as it ends. I could not put it down. This is a great Vampire, love story series. I love the fresh take Lara Adrian uses on each book as it tells the story of a differant Breed Warrior and the breedmate that they tangle with til...

Disappointed
Dante is part of an elite cadre of warriors whose job it is to keep rogue members of his vampire race in check. When a night out on the town goes awry, he finds himself at Tess Culver's place of business- wounded and dire need of blood.Tess has no idea the type of creature that has broken into...

An enjoyable read!
I've read the first three books in this series (and will probably read more after getting through the books I have in my TBR pile). All three had interesting, fast-moving plots, with good tension/resolution between the main characters. I know this series is often compared to the Black Dagger...

Dante and Tess
Honestly I started reading this series because I got the first book, Kiss of Midnight (The Midnight Breed, Book 1), free on Kindle - through my iphone. If you haven't read that book I suggest you start there. This is very similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. There 2 main characters...

lLara Adrian-Midnight Awakening
I have read 3 of the first BREED books, and love them. I do not like her term of "Breedmate". I think she could have just said mate. Otherwise her characters are quite interesting, as all the females seem to have different abilities healing, being able to touch an object and see who has used it etc.

Better Than The First!
I never thought it possbile that the second book in the series could be better than the first since I loved it so much... and yet I thought it was twice as good! I really like how you do not necesarily have to read the books in chronological order to understand them, but if you do, you get a...
