Ishmael is a book that attempts to bring into focus thoughts that all of us have had at some point. Thoughts about man's purpose on earth, how we live life, how we ought to live life, and the consequences of our consumption heavy lifestyles etc....

A profoundly secular and clear analysis of human history
On the cover of the book is a quote by Jim Britell -- "From now on I will divide the books I have read into two categories - the ones I read before Ishmael and those read after." I couldn't agree more.
