If you have back problems, read this book.
This book has helped me to learn what I am doing wrong to make my back ache, what I can do to alleviate the pain, and what I need to do right to avoid future attacks. Excellent book. Worth more than the $25 co-pay to see my primary care physician.

This book cured my back problems!!!!!
I was literally unable to move for 3 months with horrible lower back pain. walking hunched over and unable to sit in an upright position, only lay down or stand. My mother took my xrays to a world renown spinal surgeon and he said "there's nothing wrong with her back, have her read this book"...

Simple but effective!
The overall solution provided (basically one main exercise) is very simple. When I first figured this out, I was very disappointed. However, after religiously doing this 4 times a day along with some other execises and advice from "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back", I feel MUCH better after 2...

Treat your own back
Treat Your Own BackVery concise and to the point. Good use of visuals to help know what each body position provides the desired therapy. Obviously a well trained therapist ( Mackenzie) with much experience in both treatment and preventive health care. Excellent.

Thanks for the surgery
I have had minor sciatica and lower back pain for years. I wanted to see what could be done to improve my condition. I read the book and began the exercises cautiously less than a week ago (10 Jan 2009). And when I say cautious, I mean just that; 4 back arches without hands and 1 with hands....

I'll be back...
TERRIFIC BOOK! I can't praise this book enough. I ruptured a disc in my lower back in Dec., 2006. I spent 9 months as a semi-cripple. I went thru a series of 3 cortisone injections into my spine. They helped, but not completely. You are only allowed to have 3 shots in a 1 year period, and...

This really works.
I have recommended this book countless times. In 1997 I was disabled due to back pain: could barely walk, was on prescription pain meds, muscle relaxers, sleeping pills, couldn't work, couldn't sleep. I saw more drivel on late night/ early morning TV than you can imagine. Someone loaned me...

I too, had referrals from physical therapists to read and follow the instructions of the two books: Treat your own back and neck by Robin Makinzie. I may have spelled his name wrong, but his techniques are perfect. I am telling everyone about this book and have almost stopped taking ibuprofen....
