Not Yet Qualified

At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.

This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

This is a great item to add to your stereo system. Really worth the money. Works best with the Audiosource preone/A pre-amplifier.

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 01, 2008 Type: User Review Works well

From: Amazon Posted: May 19, 2008 Type: User Review STAY ALWAY FROM THIS JUNK

I READ THE REVIEWS OF THE PRODUCT AND DIDN'T LISTEN TO THEM. THREE MONTHS AFTER I HAD IT THE EQ BUTTON STARTED ACTING UP AND CHANNELS WERE CUTTING OUT AND THE PROBLEM GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. TO THE POINT THAT IT WAS TOTALLY ANNOYING. THEN THE...

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 10, 2008 Type: User Review Not Very Good Quality Equipment

It worked well for the first few months but then the left channel started getting static in it and soon went dead. It shouldn't have gone bad so quickly. I'm using a Pioneer receiver that is pushing 10 years in age and it still works beautifully....

I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. I have used it three times
and then went dead. I did not bother to call Audio Source or return
the product to Amazon. I re-ordered another brand (Teac) and I hope
that this one would be a...

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 14, 2007 Type: User Review Great sound, but has a major defect

I recently purchased three EQ100's for a 5.1 channel HD-DVD home theater system. I wanted to equalize the sound of the high definition analog audio out on my HD-DVD player, having an older sound processor that doesn't offer tonal balance via 5.1...

From: Amazon Posted: Feb 16, 2007 Type: User Review A Great Way to Expand Range

This equiptment does require a solid speaker/amp set up. This will give you the capability to blow out cheaper speakers due to a lack of internal limiting circuitry. Not a complaint at all though.

The range on this thing is very...

The EQ 200 has a problem with the stereo channels dropping out. Other reviewers have pointed out his same problem as well. I even found a review elsewhere dating this problem all the way back to 2001. The problem seems to be either shorting or...
