WOW- This is an amazing book!
Wow..."From High School to Med School" is an amazing book. Penned by two college students who are now brilliant and accomplished physicians themselves, it is THE authoritative source on accelerated medical programs. It is entertaining, yet detailed and informative. It beats any of the other...

Not Worth It!
After reading this book and "Medical School from High School"(by A.M. Ilyas), Dr. Ilyas' book was, without a doubt, a better buy. Raju and Yanofski's book does not include enough details to lead any high school student in the right direction. Dr. Ilyas's book is more informative,...

Great book! Must have for college apps.
I bought this book a few months back, and it's great. I heard about these fast track medical programs from my friends and they recommended this book. I especially liked the candidate profiles, application timeline, and easy to read format. It's definitely going to be my source when I apply to...

Lacks Detail
Although well written, this book didn't contain any of the specific information about accelerated medical programs that I was looking for. For example, do I have to take the MCAT at Brown University? How is the social life at Alabama? What are the minimum requirements for each program? Which...

Not bad
As a prospective possible accelerated medical school applicant next year, I found this book to be very helpful in finding out what programs were out there and information on how to contact each individual school or program. However, I wished that the authors went into more detail with regards to...

This book doesn't meet expectations
Although the book was great in explaning how to prepare for an organic chemistry exam in college, the book talked nothing about what life was like at Brown University or Rice University...or any university. I wanted to know specific information about accelerated medical programs and this book...

There is a better book available
I own both "The High School Doctor" and "From High School to Med School". I definitely endorse "The High School Doctor" from Koneru, Arora, and Wang. The book was started 5 years ago and has been completed by physicians who have already finished the path to medicine. I trust their judgement,...

Book Doesn't Cover Programs
I thought the book was excellent when it came to the overall process of the accelerated medical programs, however the individual program descriptions were extremely week. I could have gotton the same info out of the AMA website. I would recommend another book.

Wish this book was available when I was in HS!
I went took a long (13 years after HS) and unconventional route to become a doctor. I bought this book both out of curiosity and with the purpose of preparing my children (now in primary school) for a career in Medicine (my youngest has shone keen interest since an early age and I have encouraged...
