PMBOK Guide

I got this guide as an optional reference for a Project Management class. I haven't had to refer to it, but it does look like something that may come in handy in the future if I decide to stay in a Project Management environment.

Mandatory reading / reference if undertaking the PMP Exam

Better, but still a reference.

Unless you are really young, or autistic this will not be the only book you need to pass the PMP. PMI has tweaked it a little more for clarity, but it is still dry reading. Read it and then get a study guide to understand and remember what is in it.

My employer has mandated that the leads in the company take a project management 6 month series of classes . This book had proven invaluable! If you can master the processes described in the PMBOK Guide, you can manage any project! Excellent!
