non-operating right out of the box, Samsung broke promise to fix free

Worst Product Ever Purchased
I bought this unit in January with a Samsung TV, for compatibility. By May, I'd called Samsung 5 times regarding the DVD ruining my recordings. I would have 5 hours recorded, then there would be a system error and it would render my DVDs unplayable!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
My husband bought me this DVDR for me. He bought it in February and by March 3rd it would no longer play any of my DVD's including ones it had played before. We took it back to Circuit City in Wy, and exchanged it. The second one just stopped work
