Really disappointing.
I bought it at Sam's Club about 15 months ago for $300. At the time it was the best DVD recorder / VHS on the market. Programming it was never easy. Now it doesn't work because it can't read DVDs. The self-test at power up fails. There seem to be a l
PROS: Nice to have just one machine under the TV.
CONS: Difficult to program. DVD section failed after only 15 months.

A little complicated
I am really enjoying this DVD recorder, but because it does so much it is a little complicated, and I am still learning how to use it. If you are not afraid of learning how to use a complicated devise and reading a lot of instructions I highly recomm

I'm a technical person but the instructions are not that intuitive. I'm still trying to figure out how to schedule VHS recordings. Other than that, the picture qualtiy is very good from either VHS or DVD. I haven't had the opportunity to use the DVD
