Great DVD recorder for price.
This Toshiba is a slick and fast way to record a DVD. Very easy to use. The only thing is that you must use DVD-R and not the DVD+R, for whatever reason a disk with the + does not finalize. It plays + just fine,just does not like to record on...

Great recorder, very user friendly. I am in the process of dubbing my VHS footage, about 100 tapes, to DVD, so far this piece has worked great.

This is my second dvd recorder. The first was a LiteOn which frustrated me no end for two years before it stopped recording altogether. This Toshiba recognizes blank DVD's without any problem, unlike the LiteOn. It finalizes disks much faster...
