At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Great player for the money
Pros: All around good player Cons: None, that I've seen I just got this player last month, so I couldn't say what the durability is. The picture is great. I am using it on a 55 inch Sony LCD and the picture is pretty good. You do, however have to

Tired of 3 hour DVD encoding? Buy this DVD player
Smallest nicest DVD player I've ever gotten, period. Saves me the time of encoding AVI's and such from the Internet (3+ hours to a DVD-R) - Now I just burn the AVI directly through Windows as a data CD, it takes 3 minutes to burn, and perfect quality

Great little player
I like this player a lot. It is small, compact and plays the dvd's just fine. I would recommend for the cost and if you are looking for a good, basic divx player.

straightforward, inexpensive, multi-region dvd-- can't go wrong
I'm not an expert on image quality or anything, all I wanted was a simple, straightforward DVD player that reads multiple regions. This one fit the bill. Super easy to install, make region free, and quality seems good-- we haven't had ANY problems

Pretty good player BUT ------
Previous reviews stated this unit was region free. Instruction manual states its Region 1 and will NOT play other regions. Satisfied enough to keep but still need a true region free player. Remote not as bad as other indicated. Play around with it

Excellent value
I like everything about this player except that it cannot use the vosub format subtitles that are most commonly associated with divx movie files and that the menu truncates file and folder names to 7 or 8 characters. Still good value and I'd recommen
