I had never purchased a phillips product before and will not again
First two weeks player was fine. For a 'filler' between my old Panasonic that died recently and an HD/BluRay, it was great. Then it just stopped playing DVDs. Picture break-up, disc freeze and/or video locked in player so I had to unplug and then r

Revised review--------love it
I originally reviewed this DVD player in Feb. and now wish to revise that review. I had stated that it was not region free. The instruction booklet says Region 1. Someone on Amazon posted the code to change to region free and with that code it too

Surprised by the truth in advertising!
