Macbeth (The Pelican Shakespeare)
"I feel that I have spent half my career with one or another Pelican Shakespeare in my back pocket. Convenience, however, is the least important aspect of the new Pelican Shakespeare series. Here is an elegant and clear text for either the study or the rehearsal room, notes where you need them and the distinguished scholarship of the general editors, Stephen Orgel and A. R. Braunmuller who understand that these are plays for performance as well as great texts for contemplation." (Patrick Stewart) * Authoritative, reliable texts * High quality introductions and notes * New, more readable trade trim size * An essay on the theatrical world of Shakespeare and essays on Shakespeare's life and the selection of texts
The distinguished Pelican Shakespeare series, which has sold more than four million copies, is now completely revised and repackaged.

- Murder and mayhem
As it has been a while since I've read Macbeth I'm glad that I read this edition. It was compact but easy to read. The material at the beginning of the book was excellent and helped put the play in context. And of course, as one of...

- MacBeth (Folger Shakespeare Library)
I could hardly believe my eyes when the book arrived. The book was in great shape and I only paid 1 cent plus shipping for it... It did have some things highlighted, but they were the things that was on my test.

- NOT a condensed version
Contrary to the two editorial reviews at the top of this page, the Dover Thrift Edition of MacBeth is NOT a condensed version of the play. It is the full text of MacBeth. I am grateful that such an inexpensive paperback is available,...

- Blown to bits by a bout of bellowing
Without a doubt, this is the worst audio book I have ever heard. One of the things we take for granted in any movie, radio broadcast, or audio book is that we will be able to hear what the actors are saying. Not so with this disastrous...
