Don't buy this pet feeder.

This pet feeder has its pluses -- it's easy to program and has a battery back-up for the timer in case of power failure. However, the design flaws far outweigh the benefits. Don't bother

It came with the wrong timer... thus dispensing 0.5 cups of food at a time... way too much for my cat. If you decide to get it, make sure you get a timer with a "seconds" option so, in theory, you can actually control intake. However... don't count on it for a cat... within 5 minutes of opening...
