"It's great, when it works!"
Slingplayer is really good when it works. However it's very complicated to figure out when it doesn't. If you are gone for long periods of time and the slingbox craps out, you're in trouble. The customer support was fine for the first year or so.

If you spend any time in hotels, with marginal internet access (meaning Hulu doesn't work), and with limited channels (meaning you don't get The Daily Show), you need one of these.I have an older Tivo sitting in our guest bedroom with one of these hooked up to it, and even with really marginal...
