"I would not buy a Humax product again"
I have had this unit for a little over a year and i am going on my third unit. The first one was replaced at no charge this one they want $300!! Customer serrvice is VERY poor

"300 hours of ghost-image picture"
What they don't tell you before you buy this unit is that it is not compatible with HD TV. Humax blames the TiVo software - TiVo says it's a Humax issue. After spending close to $600 on this unit and fees for TiVo service, and many hours on the phone with tech support I can only record programs...

Paid TIVO needs customer AVOIDANCE
The requirement for TIVO to be a paid service is inexplicably lacking consumer intelligence. The service people want is very similar to a VHS and this requires no monthly fee. Albeit, the fee is usually a miserly 9.95/mo it is just enough to make some one else a little extra money. The process...
