The DVR accepts up to 6 analog security cameras and supports a high recording rate of 15 IPS per channel. While this unit does not support the use of IP cameras and digital devices like most of DiBos units, it does allow an operator to access the DVR from a remote Internet location to view cameras and recorded footage as well as to operate the pan, tilt and zoom function of PTZ dome cameras. Additionally, this DVR supports Bosch's exclusive Bilinx technology, allowing an operator to send communication signals including PTZ control over a single Bilinx cable to wired cameras from an off site location. In addition to a 120GB main storage drive, this DVR features a built-in CD burner to record short-term footage for quick retrieval and transfer. The DVR can be programmed to begin recording based on a number of factors, including on a date and time basis, at an alarm event or when motion is detected. This saves hard drive resources but most importantly saves valuable time when trying to locate a particular video footage among many hours of recorded material.
