FMI gets hungry
An upgrade from 8.5 to 9.0 at a cost of $290 is overpriced for the few features that have been added. But FMI needed to somehow fund the development of Bento so they've put the bite on their dedicated developers.

I used FileMaker since version 4 came out. Every version I have used since version 4 makes adding/deleting/changes, etc. not a job, but as simple as opening up FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced.
