Thriller
There's also the title track, which takes a cue from Parliament's concept pieces in employing Vincent Price to warn that nonfunky forces will "terrorize y'all's neighborhood." Thriller, of course, continues to battle with the Eagles' first greatest-hits package for the title of biggest-selling U.S. long-player ever. Bonus material on this edition includes "Someone in the Dark," from Jackson's E.T. children's album, and a Quincy Jones interview in which the producer cites "My Sharona" as the inspiration for "Beat It"--and, even better, the real-life Billie Jean's claim that Michael was "the father of one of her twins." --Rickey Wright
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

an all time classic, "special edition" is nice
All the non-music craziness about Michael Jackson aside, Thriller was and is an incredible album. I'm not a huge MJ fan, I mean the dude is pretty freaky, but Thriller was a masterpiece album. I like a few MJ songs before this (Don't Stop) and...

One of my favorite albums of all time
I can still remember some of the most fun-filled exciting times of my life - 1982 - 1984 -- basically during the time that Thriller was released, the videos were released, and Michael Jackson mania officially began. And it all begins with this...

Synthesizer driven classic pop
The transition of popular music from rock 'n roll to disco to techno driven pop was officially completed with the release of Thriller. Quite an amazing and often overlooked feat in it's own right.

Brilliant
Yeah, the gloved one is the weird one. But this is brilliant stuff. Get it if you don't already own it. The remastering is great also.

All the songs on this CD are magical
Think what you will about Michael, but you cannot deny him his title of the "King of Pop." There has never been a CD like "Thriller." It is the most creative and artistic CD in all of pop history. And there probably will never be another one like...

Thriller Earns Its Accolades
Michael Jackson's incredibly popular "Thriller" became to my generation the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper," just as MJ himself became our Beatles. Reviewing "Thriller" is like reviewing Elvis' best-of CD, or a Shakespeare collection. It is not easy, nor...
