Enigma - Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits
A greatest-hits package sampling four Enigma discs released between 1990 and 2000, LSD splendidly documents the influential output of Michael Cretu, a techno-bohemian who successfully creates cinematic, otherworldly New Age-like musical suites. Now, more than a decade removed from the arrival of Sadeness (Part 1) and its eyebrow-raising mix of sacred and sensual subplots, people can debate whether Cretu's music represents savvy commercial calculation or satisfying art. LSD suggests a split decision, though tracks with intriguing blends of atmosphere and rhythm, such as "Gravity of Love," "T.N.T. for the Brain" and "Morphing Thru Time," reveal an inventiveness that demonstrates Cretu is capable of more than sophisticated novelty tunes. Two new songs, neither especially noteworthy, open this package. Meanwhile, remastered older tracks segue beautifully to exude a satisfying, seamless unity. Big bonus: run time exceeds 76 minutes. --Terry Wood more

this is the best compilation by Enigma, and probably the best lounge, or chill out music out there now (or what i personally call "sex music") besides the Buddha Bar albums. the tunes and songs are amazing to listen to for hours; i have...

- Silence must be heard.
"People talk too much for what they have to say, words without meaning... they are fading away."And so, this is music at times invigorating, at times relaxing, but at all times captivating and thought provoking. Good to dance to, drink...

- If you ever liked Enigma, just order this one.
Well, it's a CD full of music from Enigma as written by Michael Cretu. So, if you always hated his use of chant, or his wife talking over the sounds, don't buy it. But, if you have ever wondered what else Engima wrote other than popular...

I have long been a fan of Michael Cretu's breakaway music format and it is always a breath of fresh of air. It's always good to listen to Enigma when hit with the intensity of today's music scene. The playlist is pretty much on par on...

- It's Okay
There are 3 songs on this that I will listen to but to listen to the whole album is to listen to the same thing again and again. There is not much difference to the songs.

- Crass and utterly disposable music from a blockheaded Romanian and his French Poodle
There's a lot most people don't know about the "mystical" Enigma. Sure, 99.9% of the time, the duo makes bland and uninspired music made to fall asleep to, but I'm sure many of you don't know the story behind their only good song. Gather...
