Christina's debut a grand slam
This is a very strong debut from Christina. Her voice is very powerful and can seem very strong one moment and shift into very soft and tender the next. She has vocal abilities that are very rare and she shows them well on hits such as Genie in a Bottle, What a Girl Wants, I Turn to You and Come...

Pure soul
When I first heard her voice, I was stunned. She shouldnt be compared to the talent-less Brittney Spears, Christina's voice is pure soul and r&b. This album is one of my favorites. The best songs, in my opinion, had an R&B flavor b/c that ultimately does her voice the most justice. So Emotional...

Agreeable Aguilera
This was a very good debut album for Christina. It's an enjoyable pop/dance album [shades more toward the pop and ballads]. "Genie in a Bottle" "What a Girl Wants" and "Come on Over" are a lot of und in particular. Unlike a number of the blonde singers who popped up in the later 90s, Christina...

Christina is the Geinie!
Christina Aquilera. This is the c.d. where it all started. A must have for all who have c.d. collections. A great c.d. to play when you are driving in the car with your friends having a merry good old fashion time with the pop music blaring, windows down and everyone screaming out the lyrics to a...

4 1/2 stars for what
Honestly, the record company could have kept this album to themselves. It was a rushed album for a talent who's voice isn't worth the rush. Besides the album singles and maybe two b sides, it isn't worth the recognition. Just some raggidy tracks for someone who was worth way more than the effort...

Where It all Started
"Stripped" and "Back to Basics" were both good albums, but my favorite Christina album is still her eponymous 1999 debut. It's an excellent debut album and it has all the good pop hits an album should have. Infact, 3 of the singles reached the number #1 on the billboard charts from this album,...
