Hope Rising: Stories from the Ranch of Rescued Dreams
Kim Meeder has seen horses go where no one else can tread - stepping through the minefield of a broken child's soul in a dance of trust that only God can understand. From a mistreated horse to an emotionally starved child and back again, a torrent of love washes away their barren places. Kim's ranch is a place where this miracle happens over and over again. It is a place where the impossible flourishes, where dreams survive the inferno of reality - a place where hope rises. more

Beautifully written story
Hope Rising is a beautifully written book about the rescue of horses and more importantly the "rescue" of children and adults with physical, emotional or mental handicaps. I just ordered her newest book and can't wait to read it too.

Tears for the Second Chance
It has been a very long time since I cried all the way through a book. With pleasure. I read half of it in one sitting, unwilling to break the spell of the stories and emotions it contains. For the horses and the children portrayed in the book this remarkable woman's life is a testimony to the...

Extremely Inspiring
This book took me a little longer than normal to finish because I had to put down between stories as it kept tearing my heart out. The stories of healing and compassion are so very heartwarming but it was the author's own story of overcoming tragedy and how she managed to turn her life into one...

Don't let your wife see you cry when you read this book.
To all of us men that grew up not knowing how to cry (and being ashamed if we did), it is probably best not to get this book. Otherwise, you will shed tears and it will touch your life. If you can overcome that, make sure you get the next book that Kim Meeder wrote after this one. Finally, if you...

Probably for Christians only
While Jesus said, 'I came to give you life, and that more abundantly,' he did not say that every story would have a happy ending, or that the world (as we know it) would one day be free of pain and suffering. However, Meeder gives that impression in this book. The stories, indeed, are...

Faith in Action
This book chronicles Kim Meeder and her husband's struggle to establish a ranch where rescued horses can rescue children in need. The pairing of the 2 produce wonderful (you could say miraculous) results. The healing that takes place will be hard for non-animal lovers to understand, but for those...
