I was hoping for diagramed patterns

As usual, Donna Kooler's books are a great resource for any yarn or thread hobbyist. I adore her Encyclopedia of Crochet and find that her diagramed (or charted) patterns much easier for me to follow than written patterns. I was really hoping for the same type of patterns in this book. While...

Pictures doesn't do it justice

There are some really lovely afghans in this book including lovely throws for babies and children, and even patterns for men. However, the photos let this book down, as the afghans are often pictured scrunched up or folded, not allowing the designs to be clearly seen.The instructions are clear...
