The 915 is an good budget choice, but elsewhere this family is eclipsed by newer offerings. The Pentium D is something of a stepping stone in the world of CPUs: both a throwback to the days of gigahertz races and high TDPs, as well as the trailblazer

Business Benchmarks Disclaimer: the non-840 results were obtained with a different video card and driver; however the results should still be largely comparable as the 6600GT was an excellent 2D performer. Winstone 2004 This benchmark may be an 'Oldie' but I consider it to be a 'Goodie'....
