Runs cool
Runs alot cooler than my the 6600 it replaced. Idles in upper 20C range and maxes out around 50C with all 4 cores at 100% load using stock heatsink and fan. Old 6600 idles in upper 40's and went all the way up to 60+ under full load. Intel needs to get rid of hard to install pushpin design for...

Best!!!
I've been using P4 3.0 Ghz system now for over 5 years and realize it is time for change system for gaming RIG. So I choose Q9550 and must say this is the one of the far best processor available right now. Anyone seeking changing CPU, this one should just work fine.

The Supreme Commander
This processor is excellent. I have it overclocked to 3.4ghz on standard voltage thanks to a small fsb bump. I have it watercooled and it never exceeds 50c even with heavy use. I have had a million (exaggeration obviously) programs open and running and have never seen this processor utilized...

What can I say other than BRAVO! replaced a Q6600 with this after reading previous reviews. Paired it with 1066 memory and with 1200 memory and it totally ROCKS and the price is very good for what you get. MAXIMUM BANG FOR THE BUCK!
