This chip is really nice. Programs open quickly. I can run iTunes, World of Warcraft and Firefox at the same time without a problem. In terms of productivity, it's definitely good. It's reliable and fast with every day work (e.g., Word and Firefox),

Very good processor by AMD, as long as you don't run Windows on it. Nothing is good with Windows on it. Use Linux! It runs pretty cool and my games/apps (Compiz, World of Warcraft, Blender, Portal) have a satisfying framerate.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ is one of the fastest processors I have ever used. My gaming experience is faster than the regular old Intel Processor 4. This processor is so amazing that I'm surprised it's so cheap!

The AMD Athlon Processor is a great buy for strong graphics users. in my and many others opinions it is superior to celeron, and any pentium. i have a 1.3 ghz amd processor and it is equal or better to many of my friends 2.5-3.4 ghz pentium processors.
